Led (Shoegaze)
Led is a shoegaze band from Easton, Pennsylvania. Led’s core members are Luid Astute and Izzy Izix, with a rotating lineup of touring musicians joining for live shows. Led often drops songs as connected storylines that unfold across multiple singles, with the lore tucked into his SoundCloud descriptions.

Luid Astute handles the vocals, lyrics, and creative direction, while Izzy Izix does the compositions, production, and instrumentation. Luid Astute is a musical artist vocalist, songwriter, artist, and primarily associated as the principal core member of the shoegaze project Led, based in Easton, Pennsylvania. He is the primary creative artistic director for the group, the sole lyricist, and typically the conceptualizer of the songs and their accompanying stories.

Led is an ambiguous name. It is used as both a pseudonym for a specific artist and the name of a group project. Luid Astute uses the name ”Led” either using the name as an ambiguous identifier as a name for himself or the name for a larger project including other people, but generally the person himself is identified as Luid Astute. Luid operated Led as a solo project, only using BeatStars instrumentals from various producers, most notably FlyingFish, but since 2025 has made Led a collaborative effort with a primary in house producer and a full band that’s currently only used for live performances.

They first gained traction through a series of shoegaze and nugaze tracks, some originally created by the artist flyingfish. His most popular track, "myocarditis", uses the instrumental from flyingfish’s "wonder if you care", with both songs dropping the same week. There have been a series of disputes between the two artists since Led used the instrumental via a verbal agreement without formally signing a contract, which has lead to threats of myocarditis being taken down, though it still remains on Spotify and Apple Music.

Alongside their singles, they’ve released two EPs. "Lilac", which is the first project featuring Izzy Izix as a collaborator and producer, and "If, before you leave?" a full dual release between Led and Izzy Izix. Though Izzy Izix is a the in house producer and a primary member of Led and co-owner of Led Noise collective, “If, before you leave?” was a released as a dual release with two primary artists to help SEO and to be recognized with a Google knowledge panel according to Izzy Izix. Their only full-length album, shitpost, is a fully acoustic album, which is a detour from their usually distortion-heavy sound.

Izzy Izix began working with Led as a producer for only a select few songs, including the Lilac EP and Under My Skin, but since has become the 2nd core member along with Luid Astute. He began working as the primary producer and pseudo-manager of Led in March 2025 and has continued to produce, mix, and master all their official releases since then. At the moment the full Led band is only used for live performances and has not been used in recordings yet. Both Luid Astute and Izzy Izix are co-owners and each own half of their record label and publishing company “Led Noise Collective LLC”.

Led has used UnitedMasters as their distributor since 2022 and in January 2026 became a UnitedMasters partner and signed an exclusive distribution deal. The UnitedMasters Partner tier of membership is an invite-only, membership for independent artists offering personalized, hands-on support from an in-house artist relations team. Despite signing a deal with UnitedMasters Led Noise Collective still retains 100% ownership of their mastering rights.
