Cut / Clap (Cover) - New November 8th, 2025 Mix

So basically I made a song unofficially released it, released it on streaming services, then took the original streaming version down, remastered it, then replaced that remaster, then replaced that remaster. Yeah.

This song’s been through a few updates. Partly because more people keep finding my music, partly because I keep getting better at production, and mostly because I get more embarrassed every time I hear my older mixes.

Originally, this cover was officially release as a part of my EP Wooden Threads, Izix Externalize, which I took down in March 2025. After that, both Cut / Clap (Cover) and Everything Is a Lot (Cover) were remastered and reuploaded as singles. So those two have significantly better mixes with slightly different formatting, with the third song on that EP being rightfully abandoned.

I first made Cut / Clap on May 24th, 2023, and dropped an early version on an unofficial album called Listenable Cover Songs by Izzy Izix. A second version of that demo ended up on YouTube on (August 1st, 2023). I completely redid that song and released it again that fall (September 18th, 2023) and that version eventually became the first official release on December 21st, 2023.
